About the Elevate Program
Student Life Programs and UOW Future Students are looking for 25 UOW student volunteers to facilitate the 8th Elevate Young Leaders Forum in 2017.
The Elevate Young Leaders Forum brings together 250 exceptional high school students to experience leadership on campus. As an Elevate facilitator it is your role to inspire and motivate 250 year 11 students across two conference days held at the University of Wollongong.
This program will provide you with regular training opportunities, leadership skill development and mentoring, which will all hone your existing leadership skills. You will then apply your skills as a facilitator and plan development sessions for your group of year 11 students to help them understand and unpack the core leadership themes discussed during both the Elevate days.
Elevate is a fun, engaging and challenging program that will develop your individual leadership style. You will be part of a team of like-minded, inspiring volunteers who are all passionate about leadership and creating change!
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- Developed interpersonal skills
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- Teamwork skills
- Ability to relate to year 11 students
- A passion for leadership
- Previous leadership experience
- Ability to motivate others
- Commitment to training and attending Elevate.
Desirable:
- Facilitation experience
