Connecting Students to STEM Opportunities
Nyoka Joseph, Academic Counselor, Pre-Collegiate Program, Academic Success and Enrichment Program, Program, Barnard College

Increasingly, research points to the importance of exposing students to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields because it increases their expectations for pursuing careers in STEM, and also prepares them for the jobs of the future. This session will discuss how to inspire students to pursue postsecondary education leading to careers in STEM, health-related fields or the licensed professions.

This webinar series is supported, in part, with a federal GEAR UP grant awarded to Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (cIcu) by the Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC), the state agency designated to administer the state’s NYGEAR UP grant.
