In June 2013 the BES re-launched its Ecological Issues series as part of its centenary celebrations. The report, entitled ‘The Impact of Extreme Events on Freshwater Ecosystems’, was presented at Westminster and gives an insight into the problems such systems face from extreme events and provides recommendations on how to attempt to limit these impacts.

The series itself grew out of concern within the Society that a lack of information could lead to contention rather than constructive action at the time when many ecological issues are being considered in economic, social and political domains. Each of the booklets deals with one topic and represents work by a specially convened group of experts working in that field.

In order to evaluate the impact this current document has had, we have designed a survey to allow us to better understand how it has been received and to help us improve the series into the future.

All information obtained will be kept anonymous and the survey should take no longer than 10 minutes.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey!
